'C' - C Core CalculatorClick the pale yellow 'C' button to launch the C Core Calculator. For a detailed description of the Multiple-Entry Calculators, click this link. Given the dimensions of a C Core in inches (D, strip width; E, build-up; F, window width; and G, window length) this function calculates the following variables. Core Area (Ac) in cm², the magnetic path length (le) in cm, the weight (wt) in pounds, the mean turn length (mtl) in feet, and the winding area (WA) in circular mils (CM). The aforementioned units are the default, and can be changed within the calculator.
Given a core with the following dimensions: D = 1.00, E= 1.00, F=1.00, and G = 3.00 inches, using the default units, input 1 (D) press [Enter <---], 1 (E) [Enter <---], 1 (F) [Enter <---], and 3 (G) [Enter <---]. All of the required values are calculated and displayed.
