Click the pale yellow [Arc] button on the Trigonometry Keypad to launch the Length,
Chord, and Angle Calculator. For a detailed description of the Multiple-
culators,
click this link.
Given any two: Chord length (AB), circle radius (r), subtended angle (Ø), or arc length (s), the Arc Calculator will calculate the two unknowns and three related areas.
The area of the section of the circle being operated on (Sector Area).
The area of
the inscribed triangle (Triangle Area).
The area of the segment inscribed by AB and
s (Segment Area).
In the example we choose a radius of 1.2 and angle of 22. After Clicking on the 'arc'
button we Tabbed down to the "r" text box and input 1.2 and pressed [Enter <—], then
we input 22 (into the "Ø" text box) and pressed [Enter <—] again the results are
shown here.
Click the Use option button to hold on to one of the answers to perform another calculation, click the [Clear] button to start over or the [Add to Xreg] button to place the answers into the Running Tape Display.
