Bm - Flux Density Calculator

Click the pale yellow 'Bm' button to launch the Flux Density Calculator. For a detailed description of the Multiple-Entry Calculators, click this link.

Flux density in Gausses is based on voltage, E, in Volts rms, frequency, F, in Hertz, core area, Ae, in cm², turns, n, and kw, 4.44e-08 for sine wave or 4.0e-08 for square wave - selectable, (see options below); Bm = E/(kw·Ae·n·F). Gausses, Hertz,  cm², and 4.44e-08 are the initial default units for this function.

An example: with 115v, at 60 Hz, with a maximum core area of 6.75 cm², and a design goal of 13.5 kg, find the required number of turns. Using the default units, input 13500 and press or click [Enter <---], 115 press [Enter <---] twice, since we're calculating the turns, 6.75 [Enter <---], and 60 [Enter <---].
