Make Multiple Conversions

Once a conversion is made there are some changes to the Convert button. The label of the "Standard" conversion just made becomes Underlined and Bold.

Underlined labels

Saves the conversion factor just performed so you can convert another number just by entering the number and clicking the button. An example, convert 1 mm to inches:

1 Click [L¹] select Convert From: 'millimeter' and Convert To: 'in' and Click [Ok]

This places [39.370e-03 .... in ] in the x-register, and the button changes to [], now convert 55 mm to inches:

55 Click []

This places the conversion, 2.165", in the x-register. You can have as many Underlined buttons as you want, the tooltip on the button indicates the last conversion made.

Bold labels

The last "Standard" conversion you made is saved and now you can make the conversion by pressing function key F10 on your keyboard, this feature will work in any of the six Keypads. Continuing our example, now from any Keypad convert 208 mm to inches:

208 press F10 key - places 8.189 in the x-register.

Both of these features work on all 26 conversions, including temperature [T°], and on the physical constants ([K]) function (it multiplies the number in the x-reg by the last physical constant selected).

To perform a different conversion in one of the Underlined or Bold conversion buttons Shift+Click the button, this will establish a new conversion factor for that button.

To maintain compatibility with previous versions we kept the save to memory feature. Pressing the Alt key while Clicking on the button ([L¹], [P], etc.) places the conversion factor into memory register 2 for doing multiple conversions (input a number, press Alt and Click the multiply [X] button), see Storage Register Arithmetic for more information on register 2. Note this feature works for all 26 conversions except for [T°] (Temperature).
