When was the last time you had to look through more than one reference book to find that formula you needed, (for that calculation you thought you'd never have to make again)? Or, dig through a stack of reference data to get the size or DC Resistance of a particular AWG wire size? Figure out how many circular mils in a square inch, or how many nepers in a bel?
Can you tell the value of an inductor by looking at the colors on it? Do you know what size hole you need to drill for a bundle of 150 strands of AWG #18 gauge wire (0.600" if it's Heavy Build magnet wire)?
Can you predict what the Q of that circuit will be? How about the Q of an inductor? Everyone knows Ohms law, right? (Is it P = IE or E = IR, or are both right)?
Have you ever had to multiply binary numbers, add octal numbers, or subtract hexadecimal numbers? It's easy with the REC.
Do you perform the same complex equations over and over? Now you can program the REC to make that as easy as one or two clicks. Find out about the RECPL here (that's the RPN Engineering Calculator Programming Language).
The REC will help solve many of those types of problems, and it's right there on your desktop, a click away. Plus there is a lot more than that. Find out more about it here.
